3 Ways to Invest in Your Recovery

Please invest in your recovery.

Should You Invest in Recovery?

This episode is with Tom Gentry, my friend and host of The Path To Authenticity, who also lives in long-term recovery! I freaking love Tom, and I hope you will too. Listen to the episode, or see the notes below.

Validate self-worth positively.

The concept of self-worth is important; it’s one that most humans grapple with throughout life. The idea that we have value–purpose and are worthy of love and respect is mindblowing. Our very nature is worthy. Unfortunately, this is something that many struggle with, and it can be difficult to validate our own self-worth positively.

Practice self-care

One way to validate our self-worth positively is to practice self-care. This can be anything from taking a few moments to meditate to going for a walk to simply taking the time to do something that brings us joy. Self-care is an important way to remind ourselves that we are worthy of love and respect and that we are capable of taking care of ourselves.

Practice positive affirmations

Another simple way to validate self-worth positively is to practice positive affirmations. Affirmations are positive statements we repeat to ourselves, such as “I am worthy of love and respect” or “I am capable of achieving my goals.” By repeating these affirmations, we remind ourselves that we are valuable and that we are capable of achieving our goals. We set in motion new neuroplasticity.

Positive people

Finally, we can validate our self-worth positively by surrounding ourselves with positive people. It is important to surround ourselves with supportive and encouraging people who lift us up instead of tearing us down. Having a supportive network of people can help us remember that we are worthy of love and respect and that we are capable of sharing love as well.

By practicing self-care, using positive affirmations, and surrounding ourselves with positive people, we validate our self-worth positively. This concept is a lifelong journey we all struggle with throughout our lives, it is something that we must work on to feel more fulfilled and satisfied. By practicing self-care, using positive affirmations, and surrounding ourselves with positive people, we can remind ourselves that we are worthy of love and respect and that we are capable of achieving whatever we place our attention on, remember, energy flows where the mind goes.

This conversation is filled with G.O.D and a Course In Miracles.
